The CAF Futsal Championships, which served as a qualifier for the FIFA Futsal World Cup was held between 21-30 March in Tripoli, Libya. By reaching the final, Egypt and Libya qualified for Brazil 2008.

Guatemala, Cuba and the United States reached the FIFA Futsal World Cup Brazil 2008 after finishing first, second and third respectively at the CONCACAF qualifying tournament in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

The Solomon Islands emerged victorious from a seven team tournament which included Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tuvalu and Vanuatu which took place between 8 and 14 June at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji.

Three teams qualified for Brazil 2008 from South America in the qualifying series, held in Uruguay in June. They are: Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
